Small Honeycomb Moss Pole

This is the classic design that started a revolution in plant care! The Foliata Honeycomb Moss Pole is an easy-to-assemble, strong and stackable design that will support the growth of your plants. 

In the natural environment many plants, including aroids, use trees trunks to support their growth. By attaching aerial roots to a tree, the plant can focus on growing huge, beautiful leaves. The Foliata Honeycomb Moss Pole mimics this environment, allowing the plant to grow large leaves while simultaneously promoting more vigorous growth.

We recommend our Foliata Premium Sphagnum Moss as the medium for all our moss poles

Note: Sphagnum moss not included.

Assembly:

Step 1: Peel off the protective film.

Step 2: Fold along the two pre-scored lines running vertically down the pole. The edges should be folded until they are about 90° to the front section of the pole.

Step 3: The pole will look similar to a tray. Fill along the tray with your choice of substrate, such as tree fern fibre, pre-soaked sphagnum moss, or moss pole mix.

Step 4: Fold the two sides over the substrate. Fold the side with the tabs over the side with the slits. Insert the tabs into a row of slits. You can adjust the thickness by changing which row of slits you ineet the tabs into. 

Your pole is assembled! Use the following steps as a guide when potting up your plant.

Step 5: It is at this stage we recommend attaching your plant to the pole. Using Foliata Velcro Plant Tie (colour of your choice) tie.

Step 5: Place the pole into your pot. It does not need to sit on the bottom of the pot but it should sit deep enough that it is stable once soil it filled in - approximately 5-10cm depending on the pole size.
