How do you ship the plants?

 

All our plants are shipped in their soil and nursery pot. This is the optimal method to minimise disruption and ensure your plants arrive happy and healthy! We will never send plants "bare rooted"! 

 

Do you ship to me?


For non-plant products we ship throughout Australia! Unfortunately we cannot ship plants or potting mixes to quarantine states and territories (Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania). 

 

How much is shipping?

 

 

Plants are sent via "Express Post" (approx. 1-3 working days). The following is a guide to our plant shipping fees (some variations may occur depending on the size of the plant):

 

  • 1-2 plants - $14.95
  • 3-4 plants - $19.95
  • 5-6 plants - $24.95
  • 7-8 plants - $29.95
  • 9-10 plants - $34.95
  • >10 plants - $39.95

 

Non-plant products are sent via standard "Parcel Post" (approx. 3-8 days) starting at $9.95. 'Bulk' items, such as large pouches of potting mix, will have an additional shipping fee as these items usually cannot be combined with other items, especially plants.

 

When will you ship my order?


Most orders will be dispatched within 2 working days. If your order contains a plant and you live in a rural or remote region, we may wait until the coming Monday to dispatch. This is to reduce the possibility of your plants being delayed in mail depots over weekends. We cannot be held responsible for delays and mishandling caused by Australia Post. 

 

Items damaged or broken in transit, including pots and planters, must be taken to a Post Office for assessment and application for compensation. All parcels are insured by Australia Post to the value of $100. If you would like to add additional insurance, please contact us at hello@foliata.com.au. 

 

Will my plants be safe and healthy?


We have implemented a number of measures to ensure your plants are delivered safe and healthy. We only ship plants in their nursery pot with their potting mix. This means your plants will not experience transplant shock and will stay healthy for much longer during transport. We will never send bare rooted, tube stock or immature plants. 

 

We take special care to ensure the beautiful foliage is protected. Sometimes a small amount of potting mix may be dislodged - this is superficial and is not detrimental to the plant's health. Some fragile plants may experience minor leaf damage.

 

We pride ourselves on supplying the healthiest and happiest plants possible. We go to great lengths to mitigate the risks of sending live, fragile items in the post!

 

Who will deliver my order?

 

Shipping is primarily by Australia Post. Australia Post remains the most reliable service for our customers throughout Australia. In rare circumstances we may use a courier service of our choosing.

 

Can I track my order?


Yes! Tracking numbers will be provided in an email when your order is dispatched.


Do you ship to PO boxes?


Yes we do!


What if nobody is home to receive my order?


Most orders are marked "authority to leave", which means they can be left in a safe spot if available. If there is no safe spot or the package may be exposed to extreme weather, it's best to arrange to be home to receive the order.
